I love this one so much. I’m not sure what I’m going to do with him yet. I might keep him for myself. I am planning on getting some giclee prints made though. He is approx 21 x 27 inches, gouache, pastels and coloured pencils on stonehenge paper.

I finished this commission last week, I’m so happy with how she turned out. First time painting a palomino, it was a lot of fun, but a challenge. I think I used about 13 different shades of cream to get the coat colour right. I love her dapples.

I finished these two this week. The big dark grey is just so beautiful, I’m really happy with how he turned out. My reference was a photo by Khaled Al Mutairi, used with his permission. Starting a new commission this week, very excited about this one, my first palomino.

Here is the result of my second go on aquabord. I’m still undecided if I love the boards or not. I think I do. Well I love the end results but they are a bit tricky to use. I need more practice I think. I’ve used prismacolor pencils on here for details, and I don’t think it is such a good idea on the clay. I’m yearning for a medium that lets me get hard but soft lines at the same time….. is there such a thing? Oneday I’m going to have to try oils or acrylics again. I really love this piece, again this a redo from an old painting. Will post the two side by side in this post. This time I think I’ve improved! yay for me![]()

and here is the comparison,
